Recently I was involved in a strategic planning day with a client. A lot of effort went into bringing this together. All the business unit managers were invited to attend. It was great to see the commitment by the team to a common goal which created a real sense of unity.
Not only did the day cover basic training and development issues but we managed to harness the power of passionate people.
As the client was looking for more bangs for its buck the question was asked; “If this was your business what would you do to drive sales, increase profit, and improve client retention & satisfaction?”
An avalanche of feedback descended upon us! One of the key answers was “Please keep asking us this type of question”.
So the lesson learned?
Involve your team and watch your business prosper. Why not ask your team the same question?
